TARLI

Tarli (formerly known as EL.i.BE) is a Liberian-American hip-hop artist, writer, and talent curator whose sound fuses the raw storytelling of hip-hop with the atmospheric depth of alternative R&B and the cinematic energy of electronic soul. His name—drawn from his mother’s tribe—means “successful journey,” a reflection of his experience as a first-generation Black American and refugee. Tarli’s music explores themes of identity, love, loss, and ambition through emotionally resonant, bass-heavy production. He has performed at major festivals including SXSW, Stone Arch Bridge Festival, and Jackson Indie Music Week, sharing stages with artists like Mac Lethal, Libianca, and Slug of Atmosphere, with features on MTV, ABC’s Nightline, and Disney+.
